PROJECT SEQUENCE
With our competence and established develpoment systematic we, from IB STEINER can make successful products real and provide a professional service from a detailed assessment to an implementation of serial production. You can choose among a comprehensive range of Research & Development services in the field of plastics technology. This range starts at the design of plastics components, goes on by finding ideas for innovations and competence analyses and ends up in the development of production processes. In addition, our partners offer together with us a large range of opportunities of implementing new innovations on the market.
During a first discussion with you or your chief project engineer we capture your raw concept, provide a valuable insight into our know-how and offer a fundamental evaluation as a part of the ...
STEPS OF PRE-DEVELOPMENT

Definition of Project
After positive potential analysis and the definition of the level of ambition, a clear project description will be made. This includes a basic proof of concept by IB STEINER and the following main topics:
- Preparation of project flowchart
- Formation of core team
- Estimation of the project budget

Feasibility
A definition of the project framework allows the development of a compact feasibility study. In the course of these, first solutions are developed, and the following actions to be taken are processed:
- Definition state of the art
- Create demand profile
- Pre-define material
- Select production process

Feasibility Concept
As a part of the detailed feasibility analysis, the optimization of reasonable solution variants and the creation of 3D concepts are carried out. Solutions are virtually visualized, assessed and optimized to minimize investment requirements and to ensure profitability.
- Calculate production costs
- Audit patents and trade marks
- Preparation of main development
- Conclude next project steps
-
Main Development
The selected, best solution is going to be picked and reconstituted in detail. The defined requirements and possible extreme situations are verified in the case of virtual component tests on the 3D model and the manufacturing process is simulated. At the same time, patents are filled and possible suppliers are selected. In the course of the main development, trial moulds are designed and built, as well as prototypes and trial patterns are prepared for the customer. Initial tests on these components are evaluated and assessed at the very least as preparation for the serial conversion. Employees in the field of design and process engineering work together constructively with a great part of experience in the research laboratory and in the production of HYBRID COMPOSITE Products GmbH to achieve substantial results. -
Important requirements
during product development- Geometry, Design, Kinematics
- Forces, Traction, Deformation
- Optics, Acoustics, Ergonomics
- Energy, Temperature, Mediums
- Materials, Testings, QM
- Standards, Laws, Patents
- Production, Assembly, Packaging
- Storage, Logistics, Distribution
- Safety, Environment, Recycling
- Usage, Costs, Procedures

SERIAL IMPLEMENTATION

...
In coordination with the selected suppliers and agreed partners of the project, the essential manufacturing parts are sourced. In injection molding, high-quality molds are decisive for the product functionality. In the course of an experimental trial ...
- process parameters are optimized,
- quality criteria for the series are defined and
- production parts are tested and approved.

Launch of innovation
Once the product range has been defined, you can successfully present your innovation at trade fairs and at customers' premises. IB STEINER carries out a systematic documentation of all the partial results, which are used to pursue the individual project sections and allow their use for serial production. The product launch is completing the product developement process.
